Newt Gingrich in 2008

Leading conservatives at CPAC attacked the Republican party as big-government, free-spending coddlers of illegal immigrants and said the country's conservatives should withhold support from the GOP's current slate of presidential nominees to force them to the right, toward conservative principles.

So far which choices do we conservatives have for the 2008 Presidential Election?
McCain? Rudy Giuliani? GOP traitors who have backed a "guest worker" immigration plan, abortion rights and tax increases.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has disappointed fiscal conservatives for signing tax hikes on gas and cigarettes when he was governor, while Kansas Senator Sam Brownback has been criticized for his support of an immigration reform bill conservatives claim would give "amnesty" to illegal immigrants.

Phyllis Schlafly, a longtime opponent of gay rights and the Equal Rights Amendment, who derided programs to provide bilingual drivers' tests and to provide low-wage jobs to immigrants instead of "our own high school dropouts," is a possibility, but not really.

What this country needs is a real conservative for President. A Conservative President who is good for all of America, who will stand up for its citizens. Someone who believes in National Security, Education, Patriotic Immigration, someone who will fight for American interests within the World Trade System, Social Security reform, Balance the Federal Budget, and bring God back in to Americas public life.

I believe that someone, is Newt Gingrich. Though Gingrich has not yet announced his run for president, The former speaker of the House, back in December of 2006, said that he will consider entering the race for the Republican presidential nomination only if no other potential candidate looks to be a prohibitive favorite by September 2007. Well Mr Gingrich....We need you!

Some points From Newt's Book, Winning the Future

* Since the Warren Court invoked the notion of "judicial supremacy," the Supreme Court has become a permanent constitutional convention in which the whims of five appointed lawyers have rewritten the meaning of the Constitution. This power grab by the Court is a dramatic break from previous American history, and has made it a tool of the ideological left.

* There is a new and growing pattern among the Left-liberal establishment to view foreign opinion and international organizations as more reliable and more legitimate than American institutions.

* There is significant precedent in American history for believing that the legislative and executive branches can force the judicial branch into changing its views when they are out of touch with the values of the vast majority of Americans.

* The American people have the power to send a message to the courts. They can instruct their legislative and executive branches to retaliate against activist Left judges who consistently ignore the Constitution, invoking the “good behavior” clause of the Constitution.

* Laws are being changed from an instrument of justice into an instrument of revenge and redistribution by personal injury lawyers. America needs more scientists, doctors, and entrepreneurs and fewer lawyers to make America a less litigious society.
